Embedded and IoT Training at IPCS Global
Embedded Systems & IoT is one of the most futuristic programs that was chosen to be a part of IPCS training programs considering its Job & entrepreneurial opportunities. As we all know; the world as of now is moving into huge innovations day by day and embedded systems play an important role in the same. Embedded is a microcontroller based computer hardware system that performs a dedicated function with the support of a software. Whereas IoT describes the network of physical objects that are embedded with software, sensors & other components to connect & exchange data. These sections pave the way for future tech like Artificial Intelligence & such programs occupy a huge market in the coming future.
Embedded and IoT
Role in Industries:
The Embedded or IoT Engineers have Roles in various industries such as interacting with various stakeholders to get a detailed insight into solution requirements. They have to Design, simulate, program and test the different solutions that have been designed.
They have to work together with people from other domains such as Automation or Mechanical designers to understand the requirement clearly so that to design ample control systems using embedded technologies for the proposed machines and also to implement IoT concepts for remote monitoring, data logging and to design remote data retrieval systems.
They have to handle the issues/Queries arising at the client site and providing necessary solutions /support
Required to Identify issues in existing processes of clients (automated/Non automated) and recommend innovative solutions to increase efficiency.
They are responsible for project implementation (Installing, testing & troubleshooting) at the client’s site.
Embedded/IoT engineers are now the Backbone for designing almost all Domestic & Industrial equipments therefore, demands for skilled domain specialist is always high in all over the world
The different job titles for Embedded/IoT Engineers are listed below, on successful completion of course they can apply as Embedded Engineer, Embedded Design Engineer, IoT Developer, Application Engineer, etc.
Average of Rs.2 Lakhs per annum (in India)
Q1: What is an Embedded System and where is it used ?
Answer : Embedded system is a combination of both Hardware & Software components that works together to control a process may it be a Domestic equipment or a Complex industrial process. The software component is a set of sequences that is stored in the Flash Memory or ROM of the hardware which we call a Microcontroller.
Q2: What is the Scope of Embedded System ?
Answer : The Demand and need of Embedded Developers are very high as most of the handheld devices that we use today are based on embedded systems like Smartphones, TV’s, Washing machines, Air Conditioners, etc., Most of the top level companies such as Bosch, Samsung, Nokia, Motorola, Philips are examples of a few companies that employs Embedded Engineers in large numbers.
Q3: What is the difference between VLSI & Embedded systems ?
Answer : VLSI or Very Large Scale Integration is the study of Designing a Integrated Chip from the transistor level, whereas Embedded system is the programming and using of the above said controllers for a particular process by programming it using a suitable programming platform.
Q4: What are the different types of Embedded platforms ?
Answer : There are a few different embedded platforms for a beginner to start learning the most basic will starting with Arduino based controllers and moving up to learn other 8 bit controllers such as Atmel’s 8051, Microchip’s PIC16F/18F and advanced controllers such as ARM Cortex series controllers.
Q5: What is Cloud and IoT ?
Answer : Cloud is the storing of a specific set of data in a Storage space other than your device such that it can be accessed from anywhere in the world using the internet. IoT on the other hand uses cloud to store data from embedded devices for further storage or processing. The devices that send to the cloud without any human assistance are called IoT enabled devices.
Q6: What are the job positions available for Embedded Engineers ?
Answer : There are quite a few designations available for Embedded Developer such as Embedded Design Engineers, Hardware Design Engineers, Embedded Software develop, Application Engineer, etc.
Q7 What are the best Microcontrollers for Embedded IoT Applications ?
Answer : There are many controllers available commercially such as Raspberry Pi, Arduino’s Wifi Enabled devices, ESP series controllers.
